Festival Welcome Concert

at Auckland Folk Festival Kumeu Showgrounds from Friday January 25^th – Monday 28^th 2013. This year sees the festival celebrating its 40^th birthday by showcasing New Zealand's amazing musical talent.

The Auckland Folk Festival Welcome Concert takes place in The Mill at 8.00PM on Friday Jan 25^th.

Featuring - not necessarily in this order:-
- Primrose Hill
  Madeline Beasley, Dinah Saxby and Sue Tearne sing from Brit to Blues, great songs and sublime harmonies.
- Bob Large & Bevis England
  2 Songwriters, 2 Guitarists, 2 times Class.
- Shane Stewart and Anna Dunwoodie
  The unique sounds of the small pipes and harp together playing traditional, contemporary and original tunes from the world of Celtic music.
- Cameron Bennett
  1 Man, 1 Guitar, and a touch of Americana.
- Clare Senior & Nick Johnston
  A formidable singing/songwriting team, performing a mixture of traditional and self-penned works.
- The Chias
  Arguably the highlight of our 2012 Young Persons Showcase, these folks will amaze you.
