Is it a performance? is it a jam? Is it a singaround? Is it a session? - Yes it is a bit of all of those, but it will definitely be folk. In all its glory. Precisely which folk genres will show up depends on who shows up, so come along with your voice, instrument, etc for a full on participatory folk event.
An evening of our kind of music in the heart of Titirangi Village.
Well it is that time of year again - come present the committee with bouquets for doing what you think is right, and constructive feedback on what you think they could be doing better.
Consider joining the committee - no better way to get first hand knowledge of the joys and tribulations of running a folk club.
Consider volunteering to help on clubnights - extra willing hands with setup (arrive early), supper & packing up at the end of an evening are always welcome.
To vote at the AGM you MUST be a ‘financial’ member of the Titirangi Folk Music Club. If you are not sure of your financial status in this respect then please check with our treasurer Leanne Appleby via our contacts page or Phone 813 0608.

Micheal Young became obsessed with the guitar at the age of 18, inspired by the likes of James Taylor, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, Joe Walsh, Chet Atkins and the Beatles. A few years later he latched on to the progressive fusion music of The Tony Rice Unit, David Grisman Quartet, Tony Trishka with Skyline, and New Grass Revival and added a mandolin to his toolkit.
His love for vocal harmonies has grown from his participation in the New Zealand bands “Wires & Wood”, “Too Far Gone”, “ReInTarNayShun” and "Rainberry Pie", as well as his album of duets “Double Helix”. His current band experience is with “Albi & The Wolves” about which he says “After a few years of honing my bass skills, I’ve been waiting for the right ensemble to invest my time and experience in - Albi & The Wolves is definitely the one”.
An informal ‘Singaround’ - ‘Open Mic’ without a Mic - A smaller group of people meet to share their songs and music.
