Former club secretary Viv Allen & her husband Jos are organising a House Concert for Christchurch guitar virtuoso Graham Wardrop.
Graham's warm stage manner puts an audience at ease while he enthralls them with his mastery of a huge range of guitar styles, playing ‘music I have written on instruments I have built’.
Graham will be performing a totally acoustic set this evening, ‘I don't use backing tracks, midi files, sequencers or karaoke backings in my solo shows. Every note that you hear, I have played’.
Ring Viv on 817 7164 for further details including venue.

Ian Bartlett is a regular performer on the folk circuit, known for his work in Westumbria, Supersheep and Chromium Brothers. He has also been a backing musician for a number of other artists including Beverley Young, Jean Reid and the late Mahinarangi Tocker.
Tonight he’s flying solo with songs of footpads, press gangs and other rogues all interspersed with a few tunes on some ear friendly bagpipes.
So make sure you bring your voices to join in the choruses and don’t forget to bring some friends as well.
Ian recently (19th March 2010) gave a concert at Rafters Folk Music Club. Read Judith McNeil's review of this evening.
Top of PageWe are again getting together to share a meal and music at the 2010 Titirangi Folk Music Club Dinner. If you haven’t been to Elevation Café before you can look forward to excellent food, a panoramic view of the city and its lights by night and an audible feast from your fellow club members and guests.
Menu is ‘a la carte’ so everyone will pay separately at the end of the meal.
Bring along your voice and your musical instruments and be ready to enjoy the good food, good music and good company.
An informal ‘Singaround’ - ‘Open Mic’ without a Mic - A smaller group of people meet to share their songs and music.
A whole evening of floorsingers.
With no particular theme this evening so come and treat us to a little of what you fancy....
