Madeline Beasley and Dinah Saxby have been singing together now for about three years. They first met at the vocal workshop at the Devonport Bunker run by Beverley Young.
Their repertoire encompasses traditional British folk songs, often sung without accompaniment, to more modern American pieces by, for example, The Dixie Chicks and Gillian Welch, using guitar and other accompanying musicians.
Their main strengths are in their vocal harmonies and in the blending of their voices.
In May they performed their first set at the Devonport Bunker to a packed and very appreciative audience. They will be joined once again by friends on fiddle, double bass and various percussion instruments.
