Pitt Ramsay is a fine musician and probably the best folk fingerstyle guitarist in New Zealand. He says has been enslaved by the guitar in general and by acoustic finger style guitar in particular for many years. While he hopes that one day he'll get the hang of it, many people think he does just fine now.
Pitt teaches guitar (advanced pupils come to Hamilton from all over New Zealand), plays concerts, and performs with The Cambridge Four.
Here are some quotes from recent reviews.
"Pitt Ramsay is indisputably NewZealand's finest guitarist in the folk idiom".
"Pitt Ramsay captivated his audience by the sheer mastery of his technique and the skill in which all his material was presented-a great inspiration to anyone interested in folk music".
Come see (and hear) a master at work.
An informal ‘Singaround’ when a smaller group of people meet to share their songs and music.

With a rare combination of virtuoso musicianship and wicked self parody, this eclectic, eccentric, energetic band from New Zealand radiates musical mischief and mayhem wherever it goes.
Its exhilarating foot-stomping hand-clapping repertoire, both original and traditional features wild Eastern-European dance medleys, neo-40s' New York swing, gypsy "hot club", schmaltzy waltzes and funky dance grooves. If you can't dance to this band you gotta problem!
The evening opens with The Chromium Brothers who will kick off the evening with a set of songs from the English tradition. So bring your voices along and help get this Concert Night off to a great start.
