• Titirangi Showcase Concert

  at Auckland Folk Festival Kumeu Showgrounds from Friday January 26^th – Monday 29^th January 2007.

  Our Club will be hosting the Titirangi Folk Club Showcase concert in The Mill, featuring:-

  • Gavin Asher & Cara Asher-Gilkison, who shine with an abundance of musical spirit.
  • Rosemary Thomas, we heard a little of Rosemary's 'modern traditional country(ish) folk' style when she openned for Richard Grainger in November, now we can hear some more.
  • Susanne Timms, we haven't heard much of Susanne since her Guest Spot back in June, here's a chance to put that right.
  • The Chromium Brothers, an obscure New Zealand branch of the Copper Family who bear a remarkable resemblance to Ian Bartlett, Paul Howarth, Sieffe LaTrobe & Tony Smyth.

The Club was conceived in 1965 when the Clancy Brothers didn't come and someone had the astounding idea of having a sing-a-round thus transforming an audience into a folk group. Formally established in 1966 we're still going strong.
